The quality of Merino wool is determined by its fineness, and we always use 16.5-18 micron extrafine merino wool. We are the manufacturer and are responsible for everything from production to packaging in our own factory, rather than purchasing other people's products for resale. The diameter of wool fibers is measured in microns (μm), with each micron being one millionth of a meter. The Merino wool we use is 17.5 microns (Superfine), and the smaller the fiber diameter, the finer the Merino and the softer it feels. In terms of warmth, moisture absorption, antibacterial properties, skin-friendliness, and breathability, it surpasses higher-denier microns Merino wool. Today, 17.5 microns superfine Merino wool accounts for less than 9% of Australia's total wool production, making the raw material cost very high.

We use German Stoll computerized flat knitting machines to knit all Merino base layers and sweaters. This kind of machine has very high requirements for raw materials and is only suitable for luxury and high-end knitwear.

Product Description: Unlike most 18.5μm Merino wool products on the market, all Merino wool products at Chanyarn are made from 17.5μm Superfine Australia Merino wool, which is of A+ grade quality. This choice incurs higher raw material costs, but we chose it because it maximally restores the essence of Merino wool—being softer, warmer, more breathable, more skin-friendly, and more suitable for individuals allergic to wool.

Our knitting technique differs from most of the 100% Merino wool T-shirts on the market. We use 48NM/2 superfine worsted yarn as the raw material, and our clothing is produced through automated computerized flat knitting machines. This requires better raw materials and more precise craftsmanship, resulting in a longer production time.

Each garment is knitted using automated computerized knitting machines. We incorporate elastic threads into the collars, cuffs, and hems of every piece, ensuring that the garments retain their proper elasticity and shape even after prolonged wear and multiple washes. This is an advantage that our competitors do not offer.
